Thomas J. Rohn, CLU, CFC
Tom is a native of Seattle, Washington. He has a Bachelor''s degree from Whitworth College and a Master''s degree from the University of Washington. Before entering the financial services field, Tom served in the Peace Corps and taught high school. The Washington State Jaycees voted him Outstanding Young Educator.
In 1975, Tom became in insurance agent with Principal Financial. After three years, he was hired as the brokerage manager for a division of American General. He was responsible for working with other insurance professionals in the areas of estate and business planning. During this time, Tom earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations.
Tom joined the brokerage office of Paul Revere Insurance Company in 1984. He was promoted to General Manager of the Arizona Brokerage Office in 1987. He managed the Paul Revere Brokerage Office in Arizona until 1997.
In 1997, Tom, and his wife Ann, decided to fulfill a long-term dream and open their own business. They combined their expertise and formed Rohn Financial Strategies, Inc. with the goal to help business owners provide cost effective, tax efficient benefits for their employees and themselves. They are members of the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce.
Tom and Ann have lived in Arizona since 1987. They enjoy being with their family of four grown children, ten grandchildren and two dogs. When not working, they enjoy spending time boating, water and snow skiing, hiking and traveling. They live in Carefree, Arizona.

Ann Kay Rohn, LUTCF
Ann grew up in Coral Gables, Florida. She has a Bachelor''s degree from Florida State University and a Master''s Degree from the University of Richmond. Before her career in financial services she taught elementary school. She also taught English as a second language to adults at a community college.
In 1978 Ann became a group insurance brokerage representative for UNUM insurance company. She was one of the first five group sales women hired by this company. She later worked as a Group manager for Phoenix Home Life in Seattle, where she won the company award for having the fifth largest sales in the United States. Later she was the manager in Phoenix, Arizona for the brokerage office of Principal Financial.
Throughout her career, Ann has been actively involved with continuing programs both as an instructor and participant. She has taught industry courses on personal and business planning, and she continually studies in her fields. She says, "The changes in the laws make this field one in which you can always learn."
She has her Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow designation that requires a rigorous series of examinations. She is a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, and is also an active member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
Ann is active in the community. She served as a board member of the downtown Phoenix YMCA, and the Valley Presbyterian Church Foundation Board. She is a past member of the Sorophomist and the Toastmasters.
Ann and Tom enjoy helping individuals and businesses design and implement financial and employee benefit plans. Ann''s practice includes investment and retirement planning. When Ann speaks of her practice she indicates that whole person is important and she takes into account the emotional, as well as the financial needs of her clients in making recommendations.
